Ayush Badoni Equals Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir with Consecutive Double Centuries Against Jharkhand
Ayush Badoni, captain of the Delhi cricket team, made history in the 2026-27 Ranji Trophy by scoring a double century against Jharkhand, joining Delhi legends Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir in achieving back-to-back double hundreds. Badoni scored an unbeaten 210 off 228 balls, adding to his previous double century of 217 in the last match against Gujarat. Delhi is currently leading Jharkhand by 384 runs, with a strong partnership between Badoni and Sumit Mathur. Former cricketer Priyank Panchal praised Badoni's performance and suggested it could lead to a national team call-up, similar to Devdutt Padikkal. Badoni has become the 21st Indian batter to score consecutive double centuries in First-Class cricket.
