Bangladesh spinner Aliss Al Islam reported for suspect bowling action after ODI debut
Bangladesh off-spinner Aliss Al Islam was reported for a suspect bowling action after his ODI debut in the Tri-Series match against Afghanistan at Sharjah on October 21, 2026. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has mandated an independent assessment of his bowling at an ICC-accredited testing center to determine legality, in line with ICC's rules allowing a maximum of 15 degrees of elbow extension during delivery. Despite this, Aliss Al Islam can continue bowling while awaiting the test results. Before his ODI debut, he had made his T20I debut this month during the Asian Games and has an impressive domestic record in the Bangladesh Premier League and List A cricket. Bangladesh lost both their matches in the Tri-Series and will not proceed to the final, which Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will contest on October 23, 2026.
