Essex Cricket Secures George Bell on Two-Year Contract Following Successful Loan
Essex Cricket has signed wicketkeeper George Bell from Lancashire on a permanent two-year contract after a productive loan period at the end of the 2026 season. Bell, 24, appeared in three matches for Essex during the loan, scoring a half-century in each game. Having made his first-class debut for Lancashire in 2022, Bell has also represented England at the under-21 level. His first-class career spans 37 matches with over 1,400 runs, including nine half-centuries and a top score of 99.
