Glamorgan Seeks New Head Coach as Richard Dawson Joins England Test Team Coaching Staff

Glamorgan County Cricket Club is searching for a new head coach, marking their fourth change in five years, after Richard Dawson departed to become assistant coach for the England Test team. Dawson, a former Test off-spinner and ex-Gloucestershire head coach, joined Glamorgan in December 2024 after Grant Bradburn's dismissal. Under his guidance, the club earned promotion to Division One and achieved a sixth-place finish, maintaining their status in the top tier consecutively for the first time. The club's leadership praised Dawson's contributions and acknowledged his opportunity with England. Dawson expressed his pride and hopes for Glamorgan's future success. This coaching change comes with Glamorgan well-positioned after recent improvements and a focus on player development.
