Jammu Court Rejects Date-of-Birth Fraud Complaint Against BCCI President Mithun Manhas
A Jammu court dismissed a complaint seeking an FIR against BCCI president Mithun Manhas regarding allegations of date-of-birth fraud. Sudershan Mehta, a former JKCA official, accused Manhas of using two different birth dates to qualify for cricket tournaments. However, after police investigation reviewing Manhas's educational records, identity documents, and employment papers, no evidence of forgery or document manipulation was found. The court noted that discrepancies on the DDCA website were insufficient to prove fraud and no unlawful advantage was gained by Manhas. The complaint lacked substantial merit and was dismissed, though the court suggested Mehta could approach the DDCA for record verification if needed.
