JCA CEO Responds to Concerns on Asian Games 2026 Cricket Facilities
Japan Cricket Association (JCA) CEO Alex Miyaji addressed issues regarding the cricket pitch, dressing rooms, and accommodation for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. The venue was built from scratch in just 17 months, with support from the Asian Cricket Council and Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organising Committee. Miyaji assured the playing surface will be top-class, featuring a full-sized ground with turf and hybrid pitches, assisted by Sri Lanka Cricket. Temporary dressing rooms will be available alongside permanent facilities, offering a comfortable environment despite time constraints. Regarding accommodation, teams are offered hotel lodging but may arrange their own if unsatisfied, with Japan accommodating other sports in more limited conditions.
