Jos Buttler Gives Update on Hamstring Injury and Possible Return Timeline
English cricketer Jos Buttler has provided an update on his recovery from a hamstring injury sustained during the home series against Sri Lanka. After undergoing surgery, Buttler expects the rehabilitation period to last between 12 to 16 weeks before he can return to playing. He emphasized that he does not intend to rush his recovery, suggesting he may not play for England in international matches until around September 2027, possibly missing the ODI series against South Africa in January and the New Zealand series. Buttler also mentioned using this time to rest and regain fitness and mental strength at home, aiming to return stronger than before.
