Manchester City have officially completed the signing of Enzo Fernández from Chelsea, securing one of the biggest transfers of the 2026 summer window. The 25-year-old Argentina international has signed a five-year contract, keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2031. City’s Director of Football Hugo Viana described Fernández as a complete midfielder capable of operating in different tactical systems and praised his mentality and experience despite still being only 25. Number 17 At Manchester City Manchester City have confirmed Fernández will wear the No. 17 shirt at his new club. His arrival continues City’s enormous summer rebuild, with the club also bringing in players including Ayyoub Bouaddi and Iliman Ndiaye.
