Mandeep Singh to return as guest player for Tripura in 2026-27 domestic cricket season

Former Punjab captain Mandeep Singh is set to rejoin Tripura as a guest player for the 2026-27 Indian domestic cricket season, marking his second stint with the team. Having originally joined Tripura for the 2024-25 season, Singh scored 517 runs in six matches and captained the side across formats before stepping away in the following season. Over his career, Singh has played 105 first-class matches scoring 6,965 runs, and has had notable successes including leading Punjab to their first Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy win in 2023-24. Alongside him, all-rounder Swapnil Singh is also expected to rejoin Tripura. The domestic season includes tournaments such as the Duleep Trophy, Irani Cup, and Ranji Trophy, with Ranji extending till March 2027.
