Bangladesh all-rounder Mohammed Saifuddin has been sidelined from the ongoing Asian Games 2026 after suffering a right hamstring injury during a practice session. The injury, confirmed by MRI scans, requires about three weeks of rehabilitation, ruling him out of the competition. Saifuddin was in good form, contributing both with bat and ball in recent matches, including a strong T20I series against Zimbabwe. Bangladesh has informed the Olympic Association and is expected to announce a replacement soon. Saifuddin has played over 30 ODIs and 50 T20Is, with notable performances in both formats.
