Najmul Hossain Shanto optimistic about Bangladesh's chances in WTC 2025-27 final
Bangladesh is currently positioned fourth on the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 points table and is in contention to reach the final, defying expectations. Ahead of their two-match Test series against West Indies at home starting October 28, Bangladesh's captain Najmul Hossain Shanto stated the team is focused on each match individually rather than the end goal. He expressed that being in a top-four position is inspiring rather than pressuring for the team. Shanto also mentioned the confidence boost the team received from their significant 9-wicket win over Australia in Darwin earlier this year, which has increased players' eagerness to play more Test cricket.
