Pakistan Cricket Board Charges $10,000 Fee for Players' No Objection Certificates to Participate in Abu Dhabi T10 2026
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a $10,000 fee on Pakistani players for issuing No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to participate in the Abu Dhabi T10 2026 cricket tournament, scheduled from November 7 to November 20 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. Several Pakistani cricketers, including Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, Fakhar Zaman, and others, have contracts with various franchises but face uncertainty about playing due to the PCB's financial demands. The PCB previously sought payment from league authorities such as Major League Cricket (MLC) and Nepal Premier League (NPL) for NOCs, leading to last-minute complications for teams. The standoff resulted in all Pakistani players being replaced in the NPL 2026. The PCB's new policy requires players to pay the fees themselves, which could lead to restrictions on Pakistani players participating in international franchise leagues if the demands remain firm.
