Pakistan Cricket Board relocates President's Trophy matches following governor's rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shifted the ongoing President's Trophy Grade 1 cricket matches from Peshawar and Abbottabad due to the imposition of governor's rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This political situation forced the organizers to move two fixtures to venues in Punjab, with matches now set in Sheikhupura and Lahore starting October 14. Islamabad and Rawalpindi will continue hosting matches as planned, although the final round of the league has been delayed by one day, with the final venue still unconfirmed. The changes disrupt efforts to bring top domestic cricket back to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where cricket venues had recently been revitalized. State Bank of Pakistan currently leads the tournament standings, followed by Ghani, with two rounds remaining before the top two teams advance to the final.
