Ramesh Powar Assists Australia U-19 Team While Being Considered for BCCI Junior Selection Role

Ramesh Powar has been contributing to the Australia U-19 cricket team by helping their young spinners during their ongoing tour of India from September 18 to October 5, 2026. The former Indian spinner joined the Australian camp on September 19 for a short four-day stint, as requested by the Australian team management, to guide the young bowlers. Concurrently, Powar's name has emerged as a candidate for the chairman of India's National Junior Selection Committee. The BCCI is in the process of shortlisting candidates, with interviews expected to conclude within two weeks. If appointed, Powar would become the West Zone representative and chief junior selector, playing a key role in grooming India’s future cricket talent.
