Shaun Tait appointed head coach of Lahore Qalandars for PSL 2027
Former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait has been named as the head coach of Lahore Qalandars for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2027. He replaces South African coach Russell Domingo and brings extensive coaching experience, having previously worked with Pakistan's national cricket team and the Quetta Gladiators franchise. Tait, who played for Australia in all formats and was part of their 2007 World Cup-winning squad, also coached Bangladesh and Afghanistan teams and franchises in Pakistan and Australia. The Lahore Qalandars, recent PSL champions with titles in 2022, 2023, and 2025, appointed Tait following an agreement from the Global Super League 2026 where he was also head coach. Under Shaheen Afridi's leadership, the team has transformed from early struggles to PSL successes.
