South Africa recalls Tony de Zorzi in 15-member squad for upcoming Bangladesh Test series
Cricket South Africa has announced a 15-player squad for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh starting November 15, 2026. Among the highlights is the return of left-handed batsman Tony de Zorzi, who has recovered from a hamstring injury that kept him out of the recent Australia series. The squad, led by captain Temba Bavuma, who is targeting important World Test Championship points, also sees the return of young batter Zubayr Hamza after almost two years. Fast bowler Lungi Ngidi continues his rehabilitation and will miss further Tests. The first Test will be held at Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, and the second at SuperSport Park, Centurion. South Africa's head coach Shukri Conrad emphasized maintaining momentum from their recent home series win over Australia and warned about the pace threat from Bangladesh's quick bowlers on Highveld pitches.
