Surrey narrowly defeats Somerset to reach Women's One-Day Cup semi-final

Surrey secured a thrilling one-wicket victory over Somerset at The Oval to claim the last semi-final position in the Women's One-Day Cup. Chasing Somerset's total of 295-7, Surrey reached the target with three balls remaining, helped by a wide, a four from Kate Coppack, and two leg-byes in the final over. Somerset's score was built on significant contributions from Sophie Luff (108) and an unbeaten 130 from Niamh Holland. Surrey's Sune Luus top-scored with 54, with support from Kira Chathli (51) and Phoebe Franklin (46). This win sets Surrey up to face Hampshire in the semi-final on 16 September, with the final scheduled for 19 September at the Utilita Bowl. Additionally, former England player Kate Cross bowed out in Lancashire's victory over Yorkshire, and Durham defeated Warwickshire in other matches on the day.
