Suryansh Shedge Replaces Injured Hardik Pandya in India A Squad for Australia A ODIs
Mumbai's all-rounder Suryansh Shedge has been called up to replace Hardik Pandya in the India A team for the unofficial ODI series against Australia A in Puducherry, scheduled for October 6, 9, and 11. Shedge recently recovered from a minor quadriceps injury and was medically cleared by the BCCI Centre of Excellence. His joining the squad means he will miss Mumbai's Ranji Trophy opener against Chandigarh. Hardik Pandya suffered a fresh injury during rehab, diagnosed with very mild intramedullary oedema consistent with tibial stress syndrome, delaying his comeback ahead of India's tour of New Zealand. Shedge impressed during the India A tri-series in Sri Lanka and has prior international T20I experience. The series will give him a chance to solidify his place after his injury break.
